The sun shone over the kingdom of Arendelle. Inside the high stone walls of the castle, two sisters were busy.
Amara was the oldest. She loved to lead the way. Naitri was younger and smaller. Together, they played pretend ice cream and worked on giant puzzles. They weren’t alone, though. They had two very special friends: Chiku the ladybug and Piku the giraffe.
“Look!” Amara said, pointing to a stack of books. “Let’s read The Magic Tree House!”
They read about knights and ninjas. They laughed at Elephant & Piggy. But soon, Amara looked out the window. The trees of Dexter Woods were waving in the breeze.
“Let’s go for a walk,” said Amara. “The woods are calling us!”

The four friends packed their gear. They were ready for an adventure. But as soon as they stepped outside—drip, drop, plop.
The sky turned gray. It began to pour.
“Oh!” Naitri cried. She hugged her arms tight. “I don’t like the rain. I want it to go away! I want the sun to come back!”
Amara looked at Chiku and Piku. They wanted to help. Amara had a bright idea. She leaned down and whispered to the ladybug and the giraffe.
“Watch this!” Amara shouted.
She jumped. Splash! She landed right in a giant puddle. Chiku and Piku joined in. They hopped. They ran. They splished and they splashed.
Naitri stayed back. She pouted. She turned her back on the fun. But then, she heard a sound. It was the sound of splashing and laughing. She looked over her shoulder. Amara was grinning. Piku was wiggling his long neck in the rain.
Naitri couldn’t help it. She forgot to be grumpy. She ran into the puddle. Splat!

Just as Naitri started to dance, the clouds parted. The rain stopped. The bright yellow sun peeked out.
“Oh, no!” Naitri said. Her shoulders slumped. “Now I like the rain. I want to keep splashing!”
Amara sighed. “But Naitri, you wanted the sun.”
“I know,” Naitri said. “But the rain was more fun!”
Chiku the ladybug buzzed near Naitri’s ear. “I have a plan,” Chiku said. “We can catch the rain inside.”
Naitri looked confused. “Inside the castle? There’s no rain inside.”
Chiku smiled. “You’re forgetting one thing. The shower!”
Naitri’s eyes went wide. She started to giggle. The sun was out, but the fun wasn’t over. With a sister like Amara and friends like Chiku and Piku, every day was a magic adventure – rain or shine.
