It is sometimes disconcerting to see your favorite actor cast into a role that is so opposite to the projections you have loved. Distinguishing real life with reel life is okay but the moment seems to pass. Drew Barrymore had for long astonished me with her sweet talks and bubbly characters but after Poison Ivy she doesnt seem that much sweet anymore. 50 first dates, Fever Pitch, Music and Lyrics all had some element of hers but today after seeing her as the shrewd , scheming Ivy I just cant help but feel hurt!
Anyways, the larger picture certainly is that its the characters and not the actors you love. Idolising their theatrical talent is one thing but seeing them only in lights of those characters is not justified, not to their talent and neither to the character which afterall is fiction right?
